DEFENCE NOTES.

The Helensville Platoon Kaipara Defence Rifle Club will parade for musketry at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Ist April, at the Orderly Room.

On Thursday, 6th April, the Platoon will parade at the Agricultural Hall at 8 p.m. Captain Turley will be in command. All members must attend.

It is notified for the information of members that those , men who have rifles and do not attend musketry parades will be required to hand their rifles to the S.Q.M.S., so that the men who do attend and have no rifles can be supplied.

The Platoon, under the. command of Lieut. Fletcher, proceeded to Kaukapakapa on Saturday, 25th inst., when a friendly match was held against the Headquarters Platoon, which resulted in a win for the latter.
