PATRIOTIC PROCESSION

SPORTS CARNIVAL

TO-MORROW, FRIDAY, [NOVEMBER 19TH1

MAORI HAKA—BABY SHOW

A MOST enthusiastic meeting of the Committee' in connection with the above function, was held in Mr.C. Sandin's office on Tuesday evening last, when there were present—Messrs E. T. Field (chairman), W. Langdon, C. Sandin, T. McEwin, G. Murphy, W. Carleton, W. Allen, J.Lambert and A. Garry (hon. sec.)

The following was the principal business transacted:

Mr R. J. Walters was appointed Marshalls. - k

The procession will start from the North railway station, and proceed through the main street, Commercial Road, and Helensville South. i

Mrs Harding, the Northern Queen, has been invited to attend and her escort has been arranged for. •

Britannia will also be. attended by our Frontiersmen.

A Band in attendance —almost for certain, and a lot of Scotsmen.

Prizes were arranged for the baby competition, chain-stepping, Town Board members' (past and present) race, ladies' tug-of-war, men's tug-of-war, fancy dress football match, girls' races, fire brigade events, afternoon tea, etc. Propitious weather is (almost) demanded:
