Kitchener in Greece—Hard Fighting in Servia — Winter on Eastern Front—British Submarine SunkMr Churchill's Resignation According to an Athens report Earl Kitchener, bearing new proposals from the allies, has been received by the King of Greece. It is reported in Germany that 250,000 Russians, under General Kuropatkin—who lost a brilliant Mutation in the Russ-Japanese M\; but was recently re-ap-?Wnted to the army—are ready M attack Bulgaria.. Simultaneous attacks by land and sea are expected.
An Italian newspaper states that Italy has agreed to cooperate in the Balkans. The attitude of Roumania *is still obscure.
Reports from various sources indicate that the Germans are unable to send the reinforcements demanded by the commanders id Servia and Russia.
Winter has settled down on the eastern front, and German troops on the Dvinsk sector are suffering great hardships. ■
Mr Winston Churchill has resigned his position in the British Cabinet. In view •of his ex = elusion from the new War Committee of the Cabinet he prefers to go on active service.
The British submarine E2O is presumed to have been sunk in the Dardanelles.
