The Gents' Bogey Match, for Mr J. A. Wilson's trophy, played last Saturday, resulted in a tie between Mr P. Rose and Mr E. McLeod, each being all square with "the Colonel" In the play-off Mr E. McLeod won. Cards handed in are : — '..'■■■-. E. McLeod, all square. P. Rose, all square. M. Robson, 6 down. E. Eames, 6 down. E. Mascall, 7 down. A. J. Hill, 9 down. —Gents Championship— The following is the result of the second round: % Rose beat J. A. Wilson, 2 up. McKinnon beat Mascall, 3 and 2. Robson beat V. White, 8 and 7. Murphy beat Garter, 6 and 4. McLeod beat Eames, 2 up. Third round closes October 11th; fourth round, October 18th. —Ladies Handicap Competitions— Next Saturday there will be a Ladies Handicap Competition for trophy presented by Mr J. A. Wilson. Course, 15 holes ; medal play; players choose partners. • ..-..-. On the following Saturday, 16th inst., a similar competition will be held—prize, silver button, presented by Dr Phippen. The season will be brought to a close on Saturday, 30th inst., when a Mixed Foursome will be played.
