DEFENCE NOTES

The Helensviile Platoon of the Kaipara Defence Rifle Club will parade on Saturday next, 9th inst. at 2 p.m., at Defence Office.

The Rifleman having rifle No. 558 in his possession is warned to return same to the Q.M.S. at his office at once.

Captain Turley, N.Z.S,C, is expected to return from the camp at Takapuua to-day.

Lieut. C. White, 15th (N.A.) Regiment, was married in Auckland yesterday, previous to his departure for the front.

The following Helensviile men, now here on their final leave, return to Trentham on Saturday next:—M. McArthur,Y. Hall, R. Johnstone, L. Russell, and G. McEwin. Others'joining-'a later reinforcement, viz., A. Becroft, L. Becroft, and R. Simmonds, leave at a later date.
