—Helensville Sale —

Rome 450 head were yarded, and prices were very firm, especially for bullocks. Springers sold .from £6 to £9, poorer from £4 5s to £6. .Bullocks sold from £10 10s to £12 ss. One choice lot of 12 steers made £11 ss, only 2}^ to 3 years old. Another lot of some 50 steers, 18-months to 2-years, made £5 each. Beef was in demand, and Mr Povey (of Parkhurst) topped the market at £9 17s 6d ; others £8; smaller, £6 to £6 10s. . Store heifers made up to £4 15s ; store cows, £6 ; older, £4 10s.

A nice line of hoggets made £1 4s purchased by Mr Monk.
