HELENSVILLE PLATOON

'The usual Thursday parade will be held. Fall in 7.30 p.m. at Defence Office.
Plain clothes parade Saturday next 14tli inst., to complete work on Rifle Itange.
We understand that Rifleman McArthur is leaving for Oauiu on or about the 18th inst.
Privates A Hen and Russell, of the 15th (N.A.) Regiment, are at present on final leave before departure for the front.
Messrs G. McEwan and G. Hall havo volunteered for active service, and having passed the usual -examination, leave for camp shortly.
The public are warned that as all Government rifles have been called in, any person, whether Territorial, Cadet, Jliflernan, Legion of Frontiersman, .or civilian, found in possession of a rifle will b.e prosecuted for illegeUy holding the same. The police have been instructed to take action, in this matter. It is to be hoped that any person in possession of a rifle will return same to Defence Office without further delay.
