The Italians in Avstria—Frontier
Towns Captured — Fighting at close "quarters — New British Ministry.
The Italians have invaded Austrian territory from the northeast of Italy, and have captured two frontier towns. Theyiare reported to be advancing along a front of 60 miles, and to have penetrated into ■ the enemy's country'from two to four miles.
In Berlin it is expected that the Italians will send a force of 40,000 men to assist in the operations at the Dardanelles.
Great difficulty is experienced in locating the Turkish guns, which are believed to be mounted on underground rails, facilitating their constant movement. The Turks never come to close quarters with the New Zealanders and Australians, always fleeing at the sight of the bayonet.
• The constitution of the British coalition Cabinet has been officially announced. The Cabinet as reconstructed contains twelve Liberals, eight Unionists, and Mr Arthur Henderson, Leader of the Labour Party in the House of Commons.
