UPPER WAIWERA

[OWN CORRESPONDENT]

ACCIDENT TO MRS J. SIDWELL.—Last Sunday as Mrs Sidwell was driving home from Church service at Upper Waiwera she was accidently thrown out of the gig. Fortunately, though the vehicle went over her body, no injury resuited. The other two occupants of the gig managed to hold on to the seat. The road was muddy and narrow, just in keeping with the Northern roads. Mrs Sidwell drove near a water-table in order to avoid splashing a lady who was walking, and one wheel went suddenly into the water-table and struck the bank, throwing the driver out. The horse stood quietly, and " All's well that ends well."
