BOWLING

AWAROA BOA'LINQ CLUB

"ROOSTERS'" COMPETITIONS LAST week end the " holders," Messrs Hammond and Callagher, for the sixth time successfully defended their title, beating Messrs Harris and Ryland by 19 to 16. The challengers led most of the way, but their opponents were not to be denied and they put up a great finish. Messrs Rimmer and Hill are the next challengers. Owing to the wet weather no other matches have been played this week.

INTER-CLUB MATCHES Last Monday three teams of Ponsonby bowlers, who are staying out at the Helensville Hot Springs, tried conclusions with three of our local " fours." All matches were won by the visitors, but some close games were played.
