AWAROA BOWLING CLUB

"ROOSTERS'" COMPETITIONS Messrs Hammond and Gallagher met and defeated the challengers, Messrs Bishop and Nuttall, last Saturday, by 28 to 13. They will need to be on their mettle in the next match against Messrs Smith and Coutts, as both these latter players are playing light at the top of their form. HANDICAP SINGLES The six section winners are :— A Section—Cullens (handicap 4) B „ Garry „ 6 C „ Phillips V. „ 7 D „ Smith „ 5 E „ Bishop „ 8 F „ Harris „ scratch These players now form a sub section. Each one has to play all the others in turn to decide the winner of the Competition. Eight of the Club's membess intend journeying to Auckland next Saturday to haye a friendly game on the Rocky Nook greens. As oux-two "fours " are pretty strong it is expected that they will uphold the honour of the Club. Exchanges of this nature should be encouraged, as no doubt our players will pick up a few useful points in the game.
