SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY
" DOWN tools " was the order of the day on Saturday last at 1 p.m. sharp, it being the first change of day from Thursday, as the statutory half-holiday. All workers appeared to be quite pleased with themselves and the wprld generally. Most vent fishing, riding, bathing, fowling, tennis, or gardening. On the whole, the opinion is that Saturday halfholiday has come to stay. A rest from labout from Saturday noon till Monday morning, takes a lot of wiping out.
