On Saturday last the "holders,1' Messrs Cnthbert and Murphy, met and defeated Messrs Driscoll and Phillips by 29 to 7. The challengers were right off their game, whilst Mr Cuthbert in particular was playing well. The holders, Messrs Cuthbert and Murphy, have, after five successive wins, had to strike their colqurs to Messrs Hammond and Gallagher, who defeated then) on Tuesday last by 23 to 15. The winners meet Messrs I^ishop and Nuttall in the ne*t match. .
