DOMAIN BOARD

PRESENT

Messrs E. T. Field (chairman), A. Becroft, T. E. Elliott* J. F. Lambert, Jas. Stewart, and J. A. Wilson. MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. ENAMEL BATHS Messrs Stewart Bros, wrote offering to indent enamel baths same as they procured before for the baths, at cost price.—This was deferred until after the Board received the Engineer's report. A DISAPPOINTMENT The following letter from the Tourist Department to Mr J. Gordon Coates, was. forwarded by the latter for the Board's perusal:— Dear Sir, —In answer to your letter of the 29th ult., I have to state that the £800 provided on the estimates for Public Works Fund for improvements to the Helensville Hot Springs, represents the unexpended balance of last year's vote and an additional £400 to be available for expenditure, if authorised, during the present financial year. There will, therefore, be £800 available for expenditure this year, and it will be necessary for the Board to curtail its present proposals for improvements involving an outlay of £1,200, unless it can obtain further funds from some other source. — Yours faithfully, R. Heaton Rhodes, Minister for Tourist and Health Resorts. -, FINANCE ■,-% Dr. balance at Bank, £290 65."
