HELENSVILLE V TOMAHAWKS
This game was played at the conclusion of the Cup match, and was one of the most interesting games of the season, bringing to light from amongst the Tomahawks some really good players who had not previously played in this district, viz., Taylor and Tukikino, both members of the Railway Department. The match was played in four changes of 15 minutes. Helensville kicked. Then a scrum. Teasdale secured the ball and carried it into Tomahawks territory, line scrum following. Tomahawks got a free. 8.. Fifield, for Tomahawks, got the ball' and made a brilliant run into the Helensville lines, nearly securing a try. Even play continued till the whistle sounded for first change Helensville ... ... n Tomahawks ... ... n After the kick-off Helensville rushed, and the Tomahawks forced. For a spell long kicking and even play was kept up. Tomahawks got a free, and some very fast play followed till Taylor got tbe ball, and, running through Helensv.:ile lines, secured a try for Tomahawks, but did not register the: larger score. Tomahawks ... ... 3 Helersville ... ... q Heleosv'He got a free for off-side play. Tomahawks a^ain rushed, and Helensville forced. The wlrist'e then sounded for half-time. Tbe play during the third spell was of • a very even character. It was now , getting late, and owing to the darkness n was impossible to observe the play at
