LAWN TENNIS

WAIMAUKU V. WOODHILL

The match of the 12inst, on the Woodhill Courts, was favoured with lovely weather. The players were out for sport, and the games proved interesting all through. Playing continued well into the evening ; then light refreshments were partaken of in the Hall, when Mr H. Jackson, on behalf of the Woodhill Club, thanked the Waimauku Club for their visit, and congratulated them on their win. Mr Taylor responded for Waimauku, and mutual cheering expressed the goodwill of both Clubs. An enjoyable evening's dancing followed, till 11*30 p.m. The music previded by the local musicians being much appreciated by the dancers. The tennis games were as follows : — men's Singles. L.
