APPOINTMENT OF JUSTICES
Some months ago this paper put in a strong claim for the appointment of additional Justices of the Peace for Helensville district, the need for which was very manifest to everybody connected with Court work or who occasionally required the services of a J.P. Among the list of appointments notified from Wellington on Saturday last are the following local residents : Messrs A. Becroft, Jas. McLeod, J. H. P. Hand, and Dr. Max. Meinhold. Other district appointments are Geo. Linton (Batley), S. Scruby (Silverdale), and W. A. Wilkie (Hoteo North).
