Wedding Bells

A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Matthews Church, Helensville, Wednesday, February 18th, the contracting parties being Miss Nellie May, second daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Caundle of this town, to Joseph Patrick, of Auckland, eldest son of Mr Joseph Patrick, of Korahonui. The bride, who was given away by her brother George, wore a pretty white embroidered voile dress, with white satin ribbon trimmings, also wore the customary veil and orange blossoms, and carried a pretty white bouquet. The bridesmaids were Jean and Ruth Caundle, sisters of the bride. The former was wearing a dainty white empiral satin overall with lace and guipure edgings, with black velvet hat and white mount ; and Ruth's dress was pale blue crepe-de-chine with trimmings and hat to match. Mr Thomas Black was best man, and the officiating minister was the Rev. C. I. Merton.
The wedding breakfast was held in the Foresters' Hall and was attended by a large number of guests. Later in the day, the newely-married couple, who were the recipients of many presents, left for Auckland en route to Wellington and the South Island. They were given a hearty sendoff by their many well wishers. The bride's travelling dress was a creme silk skirt with creme lace blouse, pretty black velvet coat and hat to match with a white mount. ReNNIE—JoiIJfSON. The marriage of Bertha Amy, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Johnson of this town, to Alex Ross Rennie, of Gravity, West-port, eldest son of Mr A Rennie of that place, was solemnised at the Psesbyterinn Church, Helensville, last Thursday. The bride who was given away by her father was prettily dressed in creoie silk, with dainty trimmings, and wore the customary veil and orange blossom?. The bridesmaid, Miss Maggie Johnson, wore a dress of creme taffeta. The officiating mmi&fer was Rev. H. Kirgan and the best man was Mr R. Johnson. A wedding breakfast was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's parents. The happy couple, 'who received a number of presents from their friends and well wishers, left by the afternoon tram for Auckland en 10ate to the South Island.
