Best oxen sold to 32s per 1001b, others 28s to 31s ; co.vs and heifers, 26s to 29s ; steers sold at from L 7 lOsto Ll 5 15s ; cows and heifers, L 4 10s to L 9. Veal calves were penned in larger numbers than usual, and showed no improvement.in prices. Heavy-weights Lo 5s to L 3 18s, medium sorts L 2 10s to L 3 3s, lighter sorts Ll 10s to L 2, others Ll to 295, smaller and' fresh-dropped 3s 15s. Sheep were penned in larger numbers than usual, and receded in prices Is per head. Wethers in wool sold at from Ll os 9d to Ll 7s ; shorn wethers, best Ll to Li 3s 3d, others 15s 9d to 19s 6d ; ewesy? extra well fatted 17s 3d to 17s 9d, others Ms 9d to 16s Gd. Lambs, in full supply, sold under steady competition. sold at from 16s Gd to 19s 9d, others 10s 6d to lbs 3d.
Pigs came forward in larger supply than usual, and sold at late rates. Baconers L 2 Ms to Lo 10s, large porkcjs L2osto L 2 18k, porkers Ll 8s to 38s, weaners to Ms Gd.
