Mr J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports, that—A large volume of business has been done this week and-in nearly every line the market ruled iirm. Poultry and Pigs were again in very heavy supply and prices ruled high, throughout. Fruit remained at iast week's quotations. Potatoes remain steady. We quote :— Poultry—96o pennod. Hens, or* diuary, 2s 9d to' 3s 9d ; roosters, prime, 4s to 5s 3d; cockrells '/s to 2s lOd. Ducks 2s 8d to 3s sd. Greese, 3s 10d to 4s lid. Turkey Gobblers, 7s Gd to lls 8d ; hens 4s to Gs 6d. Pig S _ 66 penned, 12s Gd to 18s 9.1; others up to £ I '158. .Fruit -Apples, dessert, 8a to 12 10 ; cookers 9s to 11 Gd lemons 5s to 8* 9d. P.M.
