The Kaipara team was defeated at Otamatea last Saturday by 19 points to nil. Up to half time the game was fairly even. Kaipara having perliaps an advantage on the play, but the home side led by a penalty goal to nil. In the second half the Kaipara team fell away, their long period on the boat (8 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday) not proving favourable for football. The return trip Ava6 made much quicker than the outward journey, and the team arrived at Helensville about mid-day on Sunday, The team to represent Kaipara Union against Northern Wairoa at Dargaville on Saturday will be selected from the following : —Fletcher, Taylor, V.
