Wide World Pictures.
Last week's picture programmes pourtrayed stories intensly human in the dramatic section, the ecenics and topical subjects were decidedly good, the comics were full of bright and acceptable humcur whilst the coloured films were of the best. Tho programmes certaiuly come up to thn management's claim that they are the best supplied, to any circuit in New Zealand. For tonight there are some fine scenics and a strong dramatic sectiou, the Star iiltn beiug "The Church across the way ". Among others is "The Lair of the Wolf," a Kalem drama and a charming study of real life, which with "An Unseen Enemy*' introduce splendid feature drama. Another superb drama is ''The fatal portrait," which deals with many exciting and sentimental aiid pathetic scenes. Other films are also meritorious in their respective divisions and should not fail to give satisfaction to patrons.
