Rugby Football

A friendly game of football with eleven pJayers on each side, took place at Kaukapakapa Last Saturday between the local team and tlelensville, After the recent rains it was very doubtful as to whether there would be a match, but sufficient enthusiasts turned out to make up a game. Short time was played owing to the rain, but there was some fairly interesting play, the visitors eventually winning by one try, scored by J. Teasdale, to nil. ' Mr T. Gallagher refereed. The players were afterwards entertained to dinner by Mr (t, Fleming at the Bridge Hotel. Mr Fleming is doing his best to get a good team together at Kaukapakapa, and the local enthusiasts are hoping that he will be successful.
