H.M.S. New Zealand.

X In connection with the visit of H.M.S. New Zealand to Auckland the Railway Department is issuing excursion tickets until and including May 9th. The tickets will be available for return up to May 17. Day - school excursion tickets will be issued free for teachers and scholars of the schools along the railway lines. Committeemen will, however, require to bear the expense of their own tickets at school excursion rates. It is desired to be cleaily understood that any parents travelling will require to pay the holiday excursion fares of 2d per mile Ist class and Id per mile 2nd class. No adults other than teachers, committee, or parents can be allowed to travel on trains which have not been advertised as available for the general public. The Government is arranging for a free transit of children together with teachers and comiiiitteemen from the wharf to the battle3hip, but it is desired to be clearly understood that parents will not be allowed to travel to the battleship by such steamers. The arrangements made for couveying children to and from Auckland in one day include the following :— MONDAY Sth.MAY, 1913. Albertland, Wainui, Wellsford, Ahuroa, Kaukapakapa, Tauhoa, Dome Valley, Streamlands. Matakana Maungaturoto and Port Albert schools.
