Shooting.
The Minister for Internal Affairs (Hon H. D, Bell K. 0.) has notified the Acclimatisation Society that the following game may be shot during the period between May 1 and July 31 : —Cock pheasants, Californian and Australian quail, grey cluck, teal, spoon-bill duck, pukeko, and black swan. Following on a recommendation made by the conference of delegates fi'oni the various Acclimatisation Societies, held in Wellington last year, the Minister had decided to limit the number of cock pheasants which may be killed in one day by one person to 12.
