KAIWAKA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
At last we have been favoured in the way cf inoibture. Bain started to fall on Eriday afternoon, and continued steadily for thirty hours, and everyone appears cheerful in consequence. The creeks are running again, grass is beginning to put on a different appearance, and if the -weather does nob come cold too soon, we may be all right after all.
Kaiwaka railway station is becoming an important booking place- —25 trucks of cattle out on Friday last, 21 on Saturday outwards, and a good numbers inwards, in fact the trucking capacity of the Railway department must have been heavily taxed lately to keep up with the demands. But all this activity is not -permanent as when stations ahead are opened, will have only the reVjuircments of our own district to cater for, •
