In regard to the proposed school extursious to Auckland on the occasion of the visit of tho 11. M. »S. New Zealand, the liaihvay Dept, does not carry the children free; tho same rates as charged on annual school excursions will rule for children, teachers and members of school committee (the fares foi children to be paid by the educational authorities. The usual holiday excursion fares will be available for the public, and special trains will be arranged. The battleship is to arrive at Auckland on April 20th and remain until May lOth. A second visit will bo made, tho last port of call prior to laaving our shores* June 21st to 28th
