ST. MATTHEWS SOCIAL.
The social in aid of the above church, held iv the Foresters' Hall Supper Room last Friday evening was fairly attended, and a pleasant time was spent. A splendid programme was submitted and well received, items being given by Mrs Chandler, Miss Wilson, Mr and M» Page, Rev0. I. Merlon, and Messrs A, J. Hill, C. S, White, R, Screaton, H. White and E. H. Cucksey. After a light supper had been handed round and appreciated, the remainder of the evening was t>pent in dancing.
