The Church and Reform

When approached for his opinion on the recent utterances in connection with the Church reform, Mr Miiner said there is certainly a great need for reform, but the idea that such reforms should be instituted in order to make the Church more popular is distastful and is too. much like pandering to the tastes of the people where men modify and change their views for the sake of votes or position. As to the proposed reforms themselves we as a people heartily endorse them and" practice them, and would gadly see the rest of ■ the Church returning to the standard of the early Church, not only in church practices but also in teaching, for much of the modern theologies is foreign to the teachings of the early Church and Bible.
