FOOTBALL.

The first round of the Eaipara Rugby Union takes place on Satnext when Helensville Club play Gtakanini on the Show and Parakai will play Woodhill at Wharepapa. Mr W. Bimmer* will referee at Helensville, and Mr J. Downer at Wharepapa. On Monday, King's Birthday, a team from the Grafton Club, Auckland, will visit Helensville and try conclusions with a local team. The visitors will arrive by the morning train and will be taken to the Hot Springs, and on their return will be entertained at dinner at the Kaipara Hotel. fT*^'he match will commence at 1.30 p.m., and the visitors are to return to town by the 4.15 train. As this is the first football team that has visited Helensville for some years there should be a good attendance of spectators to witness the game. Admission to the ground will be 6d, ladies free.
