WAIMAUKU NEWS.
Every farmer around here is busy harvesting, and short of help. Mr F. Meyer, a new settler, has a pretty crop of about 45 acres of oats. Most of the farmers had to deny, themselves holidays owing to the weather previously hindering them, and make hay while the sun shone.
Mr V. Kerr-Taylor's milking cows got into a paddock of clover hay. Fortunately they were found in time and successful remedies used, otherwise he would have been forced to retire from dairying at rather short notice ; those who grow much clover know how, when wet, it effects stock.
