Several members of the Committee journeyed to Kaukapakapa on Thurs~ day last to hold a meeting in connection with the forthcoming Show. There ■was only a. small attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to raise more interest iu that part of the district, and to get more members and entries, A similar meeting was held *n WoodhAU on Tuesday evening, when there were about 30 present, GENERAL MEETING A special general meeting was held in the Secretary's office on Monday evening, when the following resolution passed at a previous extraordinary general meeting was confirmed: — 11 That the Association borrow money by mortgage to purchase the lands held bj' the Helensville Agricultural Land Company, Ltd., now in liquidation. executive committee* At the close of the general meeting the Executive Committee met* Mr R. Nicholls in the chair. Minutes of the previous meeting lead and confirmed. Messrs Mills and Smith, of KaukaiLpakapa, were elected members of the Association. I The appointment of judges for the * military events was left over till next meeting ; Mr .T. Nicholls, in the meantime, to interview Major Jolly, of Plade, and report at the meeting. It was resolved that the secretary write to the Traffic Manager asking for the same train arrangements for Show Day as last year. The Secretary was instructed to .procure quotations from several bands to supply music on day of Show. It was resolved that hot water and milk be supplied on the ground free. Messrs A. Bradly, J. A. Wilson. H. Aitkenhead, Jas. McLeod, and Secre-» taryform a ground committee, with power to add to their number. The committee meet on the ground on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Mr C. H. Spinley was appointed as assistant secretary.
