HELENSVILLE SCHOOL.

The Examination for Standard 6 Certificate of Proficiency for the Helensville Centre took place at the School on Friday, Deer, the 15th when Mr E. K. Mulgan M. A. Chicf N Inspector attended to conduct the examination. The Scholars presented by the Helensville School (Abraham Berman, George Card, Jamea Martin, Eose Monk, Anna Reeve, Doris Simcock, and Kathleen Turner,) were all successful in obtaining Certificates of Proficiency. This entitles all" the above named to free tuition at the Auckland Technical School up to the age of 17 years, while all not over fifteen years of age on Deer, the Ist are entitled to two years' tuition at the Auckland College and Grammar School. ANNUAL PKIZE LIST, 1911. Following are the prize winners in the different classes and subjects for the year:— Spelling—Standard VI. The annual school picnic was held on Thursday last in Mr Wharton's paddock. There wa? a good attend" ance of the young folk, and although the weather was not all that could be wished, a very enjoyable time was spent. The racing events were well contested, and as prizes were numerous, a good day's sport was the result.
