WAIMAUKU NEWS.

(Own Correspondent.)

A general meeting in connection with the Waimauku Coronation Hall was held in the new building on the 19th inst, when there was a good attendance.

It was decided to allow no piano fund seperate to the general hall fund. Anyone wishing to contribute moneys must give to the Hall Committee, and allow them to spend as from general fund. Several who had already contributed towards the Hall were willing to help with a piano fund separate, but of course this resolution will not allow them to specify any fund, all contributions must go into the general fund.

The following were elected as a committee for the ensuing year: Messrs Lambert. Watts, Braithwait, M. Frost, Bradford, H. Pivott and Hawking.

Votes of thanks were passed to Mr E. C. Frost for his many kindnesses to the outgoing committee, also for presiding at that meeting ; to Mr Entrician for his help ; to Mr Kerr-Taylor for snavelling the Li2s Chronation Grant for the building of the hall; and to Mrs D. Ingram for her help with regards the buying of the piano.

The balance sheet was read, but was not too clear on several items, showing the hall (including the piano) is somewhere about L9O in debt. This debt with such an energetic committee will, we are sure, be soon wiped off.

Mr E. C. Frost has offered to donate 5 books to the Library connected with the Hall, and a few more such gifts would be heartily appreciated.

Farming generally throughout the district is looking well, there are several fair crops of oats already stooked, while several potato crops being dug are turning out well. The supply of cream to the factory is keeping steady and show a good results right through the season.
