BOY SCOUTS.
There are now two Patrols of 13ovs
Scouts in Helensville (the " Wekas" .and the '/Cuckoos". Rev E. E. S. Forrester is at present acting as Scout master until someone with more time -at his disposal is able to take up the movement. The Troop is fortunate in having the assistance of Assist. Scout master L, Mcdonald, Devonport, who has most kindly given much valuable instruction in First Aicty etc., and other most useful help., Seigt. Major Walker has also kindly given instruction in signalling. Such help at I the, commencement of the moveihent is greatly appreciated. Some little-ex-citement was caused on Saturday last' by the bolting of a horse with a milk cairt. Assist, Scoutmaster McDonald with two Scouts happened to*'bo passing at the time, following in the rear of the Patrol, on the way to the Springs, and rendered good service in stopping the horse, saving the' milk, and informed the driver of the occurrence. The Patrol leaders respectively are G.Card and R.Caundle ; and the Corporals E. Scott and J. V. White.
