REGATTA MEETING.

A meeting in connection with the regatta to take place on Boxing Day was held in Langley's Hotel last Friday evening, Present: Captain Sellars in the chair,-and Messrs Jas. McLeod, J. A. Wilson, W. Scott, Geo. Bennett, W. Bradley, P. Langley, and F. Tucker, secretary.

It was resolved to obtain a set of rules of the Auckland Regatta to help in carrying out the programme.

After some discussion the programme was drawn up on the suggestions of. the general meeting, and prize moneys arranged to be paid pro rata on-the revenue of the regatta.

A sub. or sports committee consisting of Messrs Jas-. Hand, L. McLeod, M. Adlingtoh, Park, Willis, and Hunter was appointed to arrange for sports ashore.

The secretary was instructed to write to the Vice-presidents and ask them for donations, also to inquire of the Railway Department to see if there was a possibility of an excursion train -to leave Auckland and arrive in Helensville at asuitable time.

The committee accepted Captain Sellars' tender for the chartering of s.s. Tuirangi for the day, and also acknowledged Mr O. Sandin's offer of the Breta Tuii ■■ -. ,

A charge for landing at Shelly Beach was fixed at ls for adults and children under 12 free, and a free pass for 3 adults for all competing Boa-.ts.
