[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. ' > < THE RIOTING IN BELFAST.— TWELVE PERSONS KILLED: FORTY WOUNDED. MEETING OF EMPERORS AND PRIME MINISTERS. (Received August 10, 1 a.m.) London, August 9. The rioting which continued at Belfast, was repressed with difficulty, and three persons were killed in the affray. Considerable reinforcements to the Constabulary have arrived in the town to prevent further disturbances. Earl Rosebery forwarded a note to the Russian Government, in which he stated that the Russian action regarding the port of Batoura, is contrary to the provisions of the Berlin treaty, and will not therefore be recognised by England. (Received August 10, 12.45 p.m.) Later. Further serious disturbances occurred this morning at Belfast when the Police were again ordered to fire on the mob, one parson being killed and several others wounded. The number killed during yesterday’s riots are shown to have been eleven, not three as telegraphed previously. Vienna, August 9. Count Kalnoky, the Austrian Premier, has joined the Emperors Francis Joseph and William, and Prince Bismarck, at Gaatein, [special to press association.] London, August 5. Two millions of the Now South Wales loan has been paid. Mr R. W. Want, Solicitor for New South Wales in London, will ask the Admiralty to survey the Vancouver cable route. Germany will not officially send exhibits to the Jubilee Exhibition at Adelaide, hut otherwise will give every facility to intending exhibitors from that country. The paper La France has published old letters written by Gen. Boulanger, the present Minister of War for France and who took a prominent part in the expulsion of Due D’Auraale, in which he admits the kindness received from the Due, and soliciting his patronage. A letter written by Mr Gladstone hints that be intends to seek repose in or beyond this country, and that henceforth he will drop all correspon. deuce.
