[united press ASSOCIATION. 1 Thames, June 3, A few weeks ago, h how discovery of gold was made nt Waiomo, situated about tea miles from the Thames. Splendid loose prospects of gold were obtained, and in consequence a number of I 1 * 1 !: 1 ? !? H 1? pciuity were pegged out.
The prospectors a day or two ago had a parcel of two and a half tons of general dirt and 200 pounda of picked stuff packed to the Thames for treatment by one of the batteries The crashing was finished to-day for the rich return of 160 ozs of retorted gold, which is valued at nbout £Z 5s per onnce.
