Dunedin, March 5. A young man named Allenston, commission agent, had both thumbs and two fingers of the left hand blown off while handling dynamite caps, not knowing what they were. A young man named Wilson, aged 19, was killed near Kaitangata by being thrown from his horse, which took flight by a sister of the deceased handing him a tin billy. Wellington, March 5. A Cabinet meeting was held yesterday, hut it is understood that nothing of consequence was done, and the great question of dissolution and public works policy will nut be considered till a full Cabinet assembles at the end of next week. Messrs Lavnach and Tole will then be back. Messrs Jellicoe and Menteath, solicitors, have received a telegram from Mr J. D. Lance, M.H.R., stating he has forwarded a letter of apology to Mr Williamson, sharebroker, for the words used in reference to the latter gentleman at a banquet to the Governor at Wi-stport, A sailor belonging to the steamer Kiwi is reported missing since Sunday last. It is believed he has fallen into the harbor and then drowned.

Dr. Grabhatn was to-day presented with a handsome afternoon tea service, manufactured entirely of Thames silvei, and beautifully engraved; and an illuminated address.
