The second clay’s racing of the Sydney Tattersall’s Meeting came off to-day. Everything was favorab e for the day’s sport. The principal event was the Carrington Stakes, of 1000 sovs., £7OO to first horse, £2OO to the second, and £IOO to the third. Distance, one mile three furlongs. A field of 19 horses faced the starter; but of this number only two horses weie placed, Ben Bolt Being first, and Temple second. The third place was not awarded. Ben Bolt won an exciting finish at the post by a neck. Time, 2mins. 2-26 secs.
