CHILDREN'S PICNIC.

At the meeting held last night; for the purpose of organising a Children's Picnic on New Year's Day, the following gentlemen were nominated a conimittee of management :—Messrs R. J. Seddon, Burger, D. Hun nan, W. Barnett, Pearn, Dungan, A. C. Campbell, Voysey, Woodward, Hamil, Williamson, C. Patrick, W. A. Patrick, F. Barrowman, Ziegler, Mulvihill, Killeen, Burrell, Dr. Davy, Palmer, Cillanan, W. Nicholson, W. Morris, J. Hannah, H. Johnsol\, M. Maloney, H. Griffiths, R. E. Wylde, Wiesner, Brayshaw, Gilbert, Janion, Draper, P. Moran, Tlewitr, Langdridge. Howe, W. Bain, P.. Rothwell, H. Jones, Isdell, M'llroy, Wells, Gibson, Mansfield, Greenroyd, Leva it, and Rudkin. Mr G. K. Rudkin was appointed Secretary and Treasurer. It was resolved that subscription lists be prepared, and that Mr Woodward, Father Walshe, Messrs Hamil, Wylde, Patiick (Westbrook), and C. Patrick (Greenstone) be asked to distribute the same. A sub-commit tee consisting of Messrs Seddon, Voysey and the Secretary wore delegated to interview Messrs Keech and Malloy for permission to use their paddock on Now Year's Day. The first meeting of the Committee will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, 10th inst., at S o'clock in the evening, in the Town Hall.
