(Received November 19, 3 p.m.) Melbourne, November 19. The cable steamer Sherard Osborne, having effected necessary repairs and completed equipment, leaves on Friday next to lay the duplicate cable between Victoria and Tasmania. (Received November 20, noon.) Sydney, November 20. H.M.S. Opal sailed for New Guinea last night, to search for the Geographical Society's Expedition.
