KUMARA HOSPITAL.
The ordinary meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening; present Messrs Burger, Nicholson, Voysey, Rudkin, Zeigler, Wildridge, Hannah, Hope, Wooldridge, and Metcalfe. The outward correspondence was read and approved of. There was no inward correspondence. The balance-sheet for the quarter ended March 30 was read, and received and adopted. A report from the sub-committee appointed to consider the advisability of improvements for cooking was received, and they were empowered to have them procured or effected. Mr Rudkin was appointed on the House Committee, vice Mr HannaD, who retires by rotation. Mr W. Nicholson, as Treasurer to the Fete Committee, reported thai the nett proceeds of the Easter fete were £147 lis 3d, which he had been instructed to pay to the credit account of the Hospital. It was resolved that a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the F6te Committee fur their services, and especially to the delegates from the Friendly Societies, and to the non-members of the Hospital Committee, who rendered sach valuable help. Two accounts were passed for payment amounting to £l. Receipts were handed in as follow: By Mr Wooldridge, £5 10s; by Mr Burger, £1; by Mr Voysey, 10s: total £7.
