SMALL RUSH AT MARSDEN.

Word comes from Maisden that Isbnster and prrty, who have been so long prospecting at Irishman's Creek, near Marsden, have struck what they consider is payable gold. It is, perhaps, too soon to pronouuce definitely as to the discovery, but the news that gold had been struck iu their tuunel was sufficient to cause eight or nine claims to be pegged out alongside the prospectors, and to the taking out of a number of miners' rights. No doubt in a week or ten days the prospectors will be iu a better position to judge of the importance of their strike. After driving two tunnels of considerable length until they ran against the reef, they availed themselves of an abandoned tunnel, and altering its direction continued their search for payable wash, which we now learn they have struck. If the discovery turns oat to be a genuine lead it will set Marsden on its legs, as the terrace into which Isbester and party's tunnel is driven stretches away towards Lake Brnnner for a distance of six miles. The district is one that all miners who have worked in have had a very high opinion of, and the County Council have pushed Government as hard as they possibly could in order to get it made accesible to the prospector by means of tracks. Further information regarding the prospectors' claim will therefore naturally be awaited with considerable interest.—Argus, April 23.

Beware of packages of injurious stuff purporting to make genuine Hop Bitters ; also preparations and fluids said to contain all the properties of American Hop Bitters. They spring up on account of the great popularity of tho genuine, which is only put up in large square-panel amber-colored bottles, with the names "Dr. Soule," and "Hop Bitters" blown in tho glass, and is tho b'jii family medicine ever made.
