In connection with the bootmakers' strike, a committee has been appointed, consisting of friends of the manufacturers and nominees of the Trades Hall Council, to devise means of reconciling the existing difficulties between the masters and men.
(Received February 5, 12.55 a.in.) Adelaide, February 4. A man named Staear, who is suspected of having forged a plot of incendiarism in this city, has been arrested while about to commit a further act, and has been committed for trial.
