(Received January 5, 0.40 a.m.) Adelaide, January 3. The Academy of Music in this city was completely destroyed by fire this morning. The insurance amounts to .£13,500, of which £BSOO is held by a New Zealand company (sic).
(Received January 5,2 p.m.) January 5. Arrived the P. and O. steamship Ballarat, from Plymonth. MajorGeneral Scratchley, High Commissioner for New Guinea, is a passenger by her.
Sydney, January 5. Arrived, last evening, the Wairarapa from Auckland.
A further case of small-pox has broken out in quarantine. Beisbane, January 5. The revenue last quarter amounted to £588,000, being a decrease of £58,000 as compared with the corresponding period of 1883.
