[B.EUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. NEW SOUTH WALES REVENUE. NEW GUINEA. (Received January 2, 8.10 p.m.) Sydney, January 2. The revenue returns for the past year show an increase of £346,000 in receipts for the December quarter as compared with the same period of the previous year, and an increase of £641,000 for the whole year. This exceeded the Colonial Treasurer's estimate in February last by £300,000. Sailed, this afternoon, the Ringarooma, for Auckland. Brisbane, January 2. Letters to hand from New Guinea state that several tribes are at war among themselves, and that the progress of the explorers is thereby hindered.
