[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. >_._< OPERATIONS FOR RELIEF OF KHARTOUM. THE NILE EXPEDITION. MESSAGE FROM GEN. GORDON. REPULSES OF THE MAHDI. (Received January 31, 0.55 a.m.) Cairo, December 30. The following plan of operations is arranged by General Wolseley for the relief of Khartoum. General Earle will collect the infantry at Hamek, and, after punishing the murderers of Colonel Stewart, will proceed to Abou flamed to open the road across the desert northward to Korosko. The Mounted Infantry, Guards, and Camel Corps march to-morrow to convey a train of camels with stores to Gakdul midway between Korti and Shendy. Colonel Sir H. Stewart with the Guards, will remain at Gakdul, while the Mounted Infantry and unladen camels return to Korti, where the head quarters of the Camel Corps are. The Artillery and Hussars then proceed by the desert road via Gakdul to Shendy, and thence along the Nile to Khartoum. The Cavalry Corps under the command of Colonel Sir H. Stewart, started for Gakdul and will reach that place on Thursday next. No opposition on the part of the Arabs is expected. (Received January 3, 1.5 a.m.) January 1. Lord "Wolseley received at the hands of an Arab messenger a piece of paper signed Gordon, and with the words " All right. December 14th," written upon it. The Mudir of Dougola has telegraphed stating that the Mahdi has been repeatedly repulsed with heavy loss by General Gordon's troopa at Om Duriuan, a village some distance to the south-west of Khartoum, and has withdrawn to Jabtira, two days' journey to the southward. He also refused to lead the army against Dongola.
