TROUBLESOME NATIVES AT ALICE SPRINGS. (Received September 12, 1.10 a.m.) Sydney, September 11. Sailed, this afternoon, the P. M. steamship City of Sydney, for San Francisco, via Auckland. Government has commenced the prosecution of Dr. Eichler, for omitting to give information of the cases of small-pox which occurred at the Orient Hotel, George street, and which he attended.
(Received September 12, 12.50 p.m.) Melbourne, September 12. Arrived, this morning, the Tarawera. Adelaide, September 12. Two others of the party of miners who were attacked by natives in the Northern Territory, have since died of their injuries.
The tribes of blacks in the neighborhood of Alice Springs are now proving troublesome.
