The annual cricket match between Oxford and Cambridge Universities was concluded to-day and resulted in a victory for the former by seven wickets. The cricket match at Sheffield, Australians v. the Players of England, was resumed to-day in the presence of an enormous number of spectators, and with fine weather. The Australians, having three wickets down for 65 runs, continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 189. The principal scorers were Murdoch, b 25 ; Bonnor, 70 ; and Palmer, not out, 28. . The Home team then commenced their second innings, and scored 87 runs with two wickets down, before play ceased for the day. Barlow was caught for 28 ; Hill for 59. The wicket to-day was rather bumpy. Blackham was hurt during the game, and was compelled to retire.
